Cormiston Farm Wedding Photographer

For couples who don’t like having their photo taken.

Cormiston Farm is exactly my sort of place. A proper rustic barn out in the countryside near Biggar, a wee traditional pub built in, big Borders views, and that warm, family-run, do-it-your-own-way feel that the couples I love always seem to go for. I've had some absolute belters of days here.

If you've booked Cormiston, you've clearly got the right idea, so I'll skip the sales pitch and tell you how I'll photograph it. I blend in like a guest, keep things relaxed, and catch the real moments as they happen rather than staging them. Almost everything is candid, so you can just get on with enjoying the day. After the ceremony we'll head off for twenty minutes, just the two of you, a wander out into those fields, and I'll mostly leave you to it. No cheesy posing, nothing awkward.

A venue like this is made for a proper party, so that's where I focus. I won't pack up after the first dance. I'll stick around for the dance floor chaos, because that's where some of the best photos always come from.

If you want a long list of formal, posed shots, I'm honestly not the one. But if you want real photos of a relaxed, brilliant day out in the Borders countryside, and a photographer who'll happily stay till it's going off, let's chat.

“My husband and I are both quite awkward so were a bit worried about how we would be in front of the camera, but Adam made us feel so comfortable that taking the photos ended up being one of my favourite parts of the day.”
