Hopetoun House, out at Queensferry, is one of the grandest backdrops near Edinburgh. The last time I was there it was a big, joyful day with a pipe band and a live band, which is exactly the sort of wedding I love.
A grand house can tempt folk into hours of stiff photos. Not with me. I blend in like a guest, catch the real moments as they happen, and when it's time for the two of you, we'll slip off for twenty minutes and I'll mostly leave you to it.
