Wild Elopements

Every year I photograph a handful of wild elopements, and honestly they’re some of my favourite days of the whole year.

Just the two of you, somewhere properly magic, and barely another soul around. Up a mountain in Glencoe, barefoot on a beach, down by a loch as the mist lifts, out on the islands, Skye, Harris, Islay. From the Borders to Northumberland to the far north, if it’s wild and beautiful, I’m in. I’ll happily hike out before dawn, chase the weather, and help you sort the practical bits so all you have to do is be present.

This is a smaller part of what I do, a wee passion tucked in alongside the venue weddings, but it means the world to me. If running away somewhere wild is your idea of perfect, we’re going to get on.

The way I work is the same wherever we are. I keep out of the way, catch the real moments, and let the day breathe. No stiff posing, nothing cheesy, just the two of you and somewhere unforgettable.

Already having the big day?

Loads of couples have the full venue wedding, everyone they love, the big party, and then whack the outfits back on a day or two later and run off somewhere wild with me for a set of epic adventure photos. Have your cake and eat it.

Bonnie & Tim, Edinburgh & Glencoe
“We got to all meet together in Glencoe for an adventure. He perfectly captured our wild spirit and it was so nice to have a quiet moment in nature after the chaos of a wedding. We had actually forgotten our quaich on the day and he was ready with one, as well as had some snackies for us too.”

Sarah & Ross, Glencoe
“We broke up our photo shoots over 2 days and after the wedding day, we headed into Glencoe to get more scenic photos and it was absolutely amazing. Adam was an absolute pleasure to hike through the highlands with! On the wedding day he stayed late into the evening to ensure he got some great candid shots of our guests.”
