The Free Company Wedding Photographer
For couples who don’t like having their photo taken.
The Free Company out in Balerno might be the most me venue there is. A proper working farm, the best food I've ever had at a wedding, the whole place smells incredible, and a laid-back, do-it-your-own-way feel that the couples I love always fall for. I've shot a fair few weddings here now, wandered the rhubarb fields, and yes, had the odd rogue sheep crash a ceremony. I'll go back any time.
If you've booked the Free Company, you clearly get it, so here's how I'll photograph your day. I blend in like a guest, keep things relaxed, and catch the real moments as they happen rather than staging them. Almost everything is candid, so you can just enjoy yourselves and that incredible food. After the ceremony we'll slip off for twenty minutes, a wander round the farm, and I'll mostly leave the two of you to it. No cheesy posing, nothing awkward.
It's a venue built for a relaxed, joyful, foodie kind of party, which is exactly what I love capturing. And I won't pack up after the first dance. I'll stick around for the proper dance floor chaos.
If you want a long list of formal portraits, I'm honestly not your guy. But if you want real photos of a brilliant, relaxed day on a working farm with unbeatable food, and a photographer who'll stay till it's going off, let's chat.
