Kirknewton House Stables Wedding Photographer
For couples who don’t like having their photo taken.
Kirknewton House Stables sits just outside Edinburgh, and it's a lovely one. Rustic stables with beautiful gardens and that relaxed, characterful feel I always look for in a venue. Close enough to the city to be dead easy for everyone, far enough out to feel like a proper escape into the countryside.
If you've booked Kirknewton, here's how I'll shoot your day. I blend in like a guest, keep things relaxed, and watch for the real moments rather than staging them. Almost everything is candid, so you'll barely notice me. After the ceremony we'll slip off for twenty minutes, a wander round those gardens, just the two of you, and I'll leave you to enjoy it. No cheesy posing, nothing awkward.
It's a venue that does relaxed and characterful really well, which suits exactly the kind of day I love photographing, and exactly the kind of couple I love working with.
If you want hours of formal portraits, I'm honestly not the one. But if you want real photos of a relaxed, brilliant day in the countryside just outside the city, and a photographer who stays till the party's in full swing, give me a shout.
