Dunglass Estate Wedding Photographer
For couples who don’t like having their photo taken.
Dunglass is one of those venues that does the work for you. That semi-ruined Gothic church is genuinely stunning, the grounds run right down towards the coast, and the whole place has a moody, atmospheric feel that I love photographing. I've shot a beautiful winter wedding here and I'd happily come back any day of the year.
If you've booked Dunglass, here's how I'll capture it. I keep things relaxed and blend into the day, watching for the real moments rather than staging them. Almost all of it is candid, so you'll barely notice me. The only directing I do is twenty minutes of just the two of you after the ceremony, a wee wander through the grounds, and even that's really just walk, chat, forget I'm there.
A venue like Dunglass also lends itself to a bit of drama in the photos, especially if the weather turns. Moody skies over that old church are no bad thing in my book.
If you're after a long list of posed shots, I'm probably not your guy. But if you want honest, atmospheric photos of a relaxed day at a properly special venue, and a photographer who stays till the peak of the party, we'll get on just fine.
“It was like having one of our best friends take our wedding photos! Despite loads of time spent kissing and hugging in freezing temperatures, we have never felt more comfortable or more at ease. Lots of people say getting wedding photos taken is a drag but it was an absolute joy for us and one of our favourite parts of the day.”
