Couple kissing by the grand fireplace at Dundas Castle, near Edinburgh

Dundas Castle Wedding Photographer

For couples who don’t like having their photo taken.

Dundas Castle is a bit of a stunner. A proper 15th century castle just outside Edinburgh, the boathouse down by the loch, grand rooms and grounds, and yet it never feels stuffy when there's a relaxed couple and a good party in it. I love photographing here, moody and grainy and atmospheric one minute, full of dance floor chaos the next.

If you've booked Dundas, you don't need me to tell you it's special. What matters is how I'll shoot it. I blend in like a guest, keep things easy, and catch the real moments as they unfold. Almost everything is candid, so you can relax into your day. After the ceremony we'll slip away for twenty minutes, have a wander round the grounds and down by the water, and I'll mostly leave the two of you to it. No cheesy posing, nothing awkward.

A grand venue doesn't mean grand, formal photos. It just means a beautiful backdrop for a day that still feels completely like the two of you.

If you want hours of formal portraits and a photographer directing the whole thing, I'm not your guy. But if you want real photos of a relaxed, brilliant day in a gorgeous setting, and someone who'll stay till the dance floor's going properly, give me a shout.

“Adam was our photographer for our wedding at Dundas Castle and he was INCREDIBLE! We came abroad from Texas to Scotland and we hosted a highland games the day before the wedding, and Adam happily came to photograph that as well! My husband and I truly felt like we were hanging out with a friend!! Our guests loved him too!”
