Wedderlie House Wedding Photographer
For couples who don’t like having their photo taken.
Wedderlie House is tucked away near Westruther, out in the quiet Berwickshire countryside, and it's one of those places where you breathe out the second you turn up the tree-lined drive. A proper old Borders house, a courtyard full of character, and a lodge that turns into a cracking party space once the dinner's cleared away. The Borders is my home patch, and I'm always buzzing to be back here.
Here's how I'll photograph it. I blend in like a guest, keep out of the way, and catch the real moments as they happen rather than stopping your day to stage them. Almost everything is candid. After the ceremony I'll steal the two of you away for twenty minutes or so, a wee wander round the grounds and down that drive, and I'll mostly leave you to it. No stiff posing, nothing cheesy.
Knowing the house already is a real bonus. I know where the light falls, where to tuck the group photos so they're quick and painless, and how to keep the day flowing so you're never away from your people for long.
If you want hours of formal portraits and a photographer running the show, I'm honestly not your guy. But if you want real photos of a relaxed, brilliant day at Wedderlie, and someone who'll stick around till the dance floor in the lodge is properly going, let's have a chat.
