Neidpath Castle Wedding Photographer

For couples who don’t like having their photo taken.

Neidpath Castle is practically on my doorstep, and I love it. A moody, medieval castle perched above the River Tweed just outside Peebles, and one of the most atmospheric spots in the whole of the Borders to get married. I live just down the road in Innerleithen, so I know the light here, the quiet corners, and the best wee spots for a photo away from the crowd.

If you've booked Neidpath, here's how I'll shoot it. I keep out of the way, blend into the day, and watch for the real moments rather than setting them up. Almost everything is candid, so you'll barely notice me. After the ceremony we'll head off for twenty minutes, just the two of you, a wander round the castle and down towards the river, and I'll leave you to soak it in. Nothing stiff, nothing cheesy.

A castle like this lends itself to beautiful, atmospheric photos, especially when the Borders weather does its moody best, which I'm never sad about.

If you're after hours of formal portraits, I'm probably not the one. But if you want real, atmospheric photos of a relaxed day at a properly special castle, and a photographer who stays till the peak of the party, give me a shout. I'm just up the road.

“I highly recommend Adam. We are so very happy with our wedding photographs.”
