City Weddings & Elopements

Not everyone wants the big country wedding, and I love that. Some of my favourite days are the small ones, right in the middle of a city.

Maybe it’s just the two of you, saying your vows at Edinburgh’s City Chambers or a register office in Glasgow on a Tuesday morning, then spilling out onto the street to celebrate. Maybe it’s twenty of your favourite people, a wee ceremony, a long lunch somewhere brilliant, and a wander through the Old Town with a drink in hand. Maybe you’re flying in from the other side of the world to run away and get married somewhere with a bit of magic to it.

Edinburgh and Glasgow are made for it. Closes and cobbled streets, grand staircases, rooftop views, cracking pubs and photobooths, and that lovely feeling of the whole city being in on your day. We can duck down a quiet lane for a few photos, grab a coffee or a pint, hop in a taxi, and still be back with your people in minutes.

Here’s how I shoot it. I blend in, keep things relaxed, and catch the real moments as they happen rather than staging them. Almost everything is candid, so you can just enjoy the adventure. The only directing I do is a short wander, just the two of you, and even then I mostly leave you to it. Nothing stiff, nothing cheesy.

If you want a long list of posed photos, I’m honestly not your guy. But if you want real, natural photos of a relaxed city day with a sense of adventure to it, let’s have a chat.

“Our wedding ceremony was at St Margaret’s Chapel, Edinburgh Castle, just the two of us. Although we don’t like having our photo taken we knew we really needed some photographs. Adam really made us feel so comfortable and at ease. The photos are absolutely beautiful and so natural, just what we wanted.”

“He supported us amazingly from start to finish, guiding us through a wonderful first look, ensuring the group photos went smoothly, and captured the most amazing dance floor photos. We’ve had so many guests tell us how great they thought he was too.”
