Alison and David got married at The Free Company in Balerno, a rustic barn on a real working farm just outside Edinburgh. It’s the most incredible wedding venue: the most amazing wedding food I’ve ever eaten, and by far the best smelling wedding venue I’ve ever been to.
Log fires, eucalyptus and the best smelling barn near Edinburgh
Venue smell isn’t usually top of anyone’s wish list, but there are log fires aplenty at The Free Company, and that smell mixed with bundles of fresh eucalyptus is just perfect.
Farm-to-table food and one rogue sheep
The Free Company absolutely nail relaxed, stress-free weddings, with fantastic farm-to-table food and the most incredible rustic barn. You may, however, find a rogue sheep crashing the wedding unannounced. Photo evidence below.
